ROBERT HUMPHREYS director of photography

After several years working as a stills photographer, camera assistant and cinematographer on music videos, Robert Humphreys was invited to shoot the television documentary In the Shadow of a Gaol for director Richard Turner. This film went on to win the National American Educational Film and Video Festival and had a theatrical release.

In the ten years since then he has photographed nineteen television documentaries and series, including Stolen Generations and the AFI award winning documentary The Diplomat. He has also photographed twenty short films that have collectively been nominated or won over 30 awards including Cate Shortland’s Flowergirl and Sally Riley’s Confessions of a Head Hunter.

Mullet is Robert’s first feature film.
