LIAM EGAN sound designer

Liam first started working in sound in 1978 at radio station 2XX in Canberra. In 1984 he became a student at the AFTRS majoring in Sound where he met David Caesar. Mullet is the sixth film of David’s that Liam has been involved in the sound of, including Bodywork for which he won an AFI award for Best Sound in 1989 and Idiot Box which was nominated for Best Sound at the AFI awards in 1997.

Liam was a founding member of Counterpoint Sound and has worked freelance since 1992. During this time he has worked as a sound editor or sound designer on films such as Feeling Sexy, The Wog Boy, Eternity, Babe - Pig in the City, The Magic Pudding and A Wreck a Tangle. He has won numerous awards for his sound work including 8 AFI award nominations.
