Mendelsohn’s first screen role, in John Duigan’s The Year My Voice Broke, won him an Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 1987. Since then he’s starred in numerous feature films including Vertical Limit, The Big Steal, Spotswood, Metal Skin, Cosi, Map of the Human Heart, Sample People, Amy, True Love and Chaos, Sirens, Nirvana St Murder, Quigley Down Under and Caesar’s Idiot Box.
