ANDREW S. GILBERT plays Pete Maloney

“Andrew’s whole life is in his face. It has a sense of someone who’s lived -not that he’s a party animal.
There is a degree of honesty about him you can really feel.” - David Caesar.

After his head turning portrayal of ‘Crean’ in Bill Bennett’s Kiss or Kill, for which he won a Best Supporting Actor award at the AFI awards, Andrew S. Gilbert has fast become recognised as one of Australia’s most skilled actors. After playing ‘Laughing Boy’ in David Caesar’s Idiot Box, the producers knew Andrew’s likeable charm would be perfect for the role of Mullet’s brother Pete. Andrew graduated from the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts in 1987 and has accumulated an extensive list of credits in theatre, television and film including appearances in the features Follow the Rabbit Proof Fence, The Custodian, The Dish, No Worries, Paperback Hero and In a Savage Land.

For television he has appeared in episodes of Blue Heelers, Home and Away, Water Rats, Wildside, Round the Twist, A Country Practice, Rafferty’s Rules, Police Rescue and the mini-series Bodyline and Cowra Breakout.
